Monday Nights at Sean Kelly's is an open call to all of Missoula's talented musicians for an Open Mic. Mike Avery, local Musician and all around good guy, runs the event from 10-1:30 am.
If you are a musician 21+, who would like to play the open mic, call 542-1471 at 10am Monday mornings and grab a slot! But due to popular demand you must call at 10 am sharp, they go fast!! |

Fat Tire Pub Trivia
7:30 PM at Sean Kelly's. Free. Ages: 18+.
Come down to Sean Kelly's for some great food, drinks and brain teasing trivia, courtesy of Fat Tire Ale.
If you've never done it before, here's how it works. Pub-goers divide themselves up into teams, with each team receiving a scoring sheet for each of the eight or so rounds. A local radio personality reads aloud a list of questions, 10 per round. Teammates then mutter possible answers among themselves, arguing minor points, citing precedent, pulling rank. Finally, they arrive at an answer. Then they write it down. Repeat nine more times. That's about it. The action of the game is restricted entirely to whispering and writing. (And drinking.) Observers have noted the eerie hush that falls over the bar on Brainstormer night, with patrons tippling back New Belgium Brewing Co. Beers with one hand and scribbling furiously with the other. It's like the SATs, basically, but there's booze, and prizes for the top 4 teams. |

International Choral Festival
15 choirs and choral groups converge for an event that promotes artistic excellence, global understanding, friendship and goodwill through choral music. A sampling of choirs includes the Hover Chamber Choir of Armenia; the XingZhi Girls' Choir of China; Choeur la Grace of The Democratic Republic of Congo, KammerChor Saarbrecken of Germany and Coral Divertimento Mexico and Koritsia of Sweden. Singers perform from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m.-noon and 7-9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at a variety of Garden City venues, culminating in the Parade of Nations and Festival Finale, 7-9:30 p.m. Saturday. Choirs sing at church services throughout Missoula Sunday.
